How you start each day has a direct impact on how you will respond to what comes of the day. How you start 2017 may have a significant impact on how you live throughout the year. At the beginning of every year as a church we are going without meats & sweets (at least) for 21 days to be focused on God through prayer & fasting. We are choosing to go without normal food and entertainment so that we can start the year more focused on God than anything else.

Reading the Christmas Story can raise your level of joy. Jesus is powerful enough to bring us real change and human enough to understand us. Jesus is an expression of God’s love, sent to save us from our sin, our mistakes, the disorder in our hearts.

You’re My Only Hope

Last week we talked about personal peace found in a relationship with Jesus. As we turn toward the Christmas season, let us take a look at the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:1-16 which lists four women who responded to hurt with faith in God as their Deliverer. They said, “Our hope is in You. We rely on Your unfailing love.”
