Luke 13:1-30
Jesus responds to events current at their time, including the tragic death of many people. Jesus asks if some people die because they are more sinful than others. “No,” Jesus says. Then Jesus shifts the focus to our personal decision to turn away from our repeated selfish mistakes and turn toward wholehearted devotion to God. Then He tells a story about God being patient, to a point. Jesus describes the Kingdom of God as supernatural and where some people who seem insignificant here on earth will be of great value there. We would be wise to pursue wisdom about God’s value system.
