Pastor’s Weekly
Our study of the letter from James to Jewish believers in Jesus as Savior has already been helpful. We are considering what it means to become more like Jesus. Our Savior lived with gracious humility and gave us examples of faith-filled prayer. Let’s consider the whole letter over this week.

This Week
Wednesday, November 4th – Life Group Wednesday
Life Groups meet weekly on Wednesdays at church. At 6:00 pm, the Fellowship Hall is open for folks to eat dinner (BYOD) and hang out with one another. Then at 7:00pm we’ll begin our Life Groups with a time of worship before splitting into small groups for Bible study and discussion.
Wednesday, November 4th – The Anchor Youth Night
The Anchor Youth Nights meet weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, for a time of worship, prayer, Bible study, and fun!
Sunday Church Service – Sunday, November 8th
We are looking forward to our Sunday church service this Sunday at 9:00 am. You can listen to the recordings of previous messages here. What we sing matters. God interacts with us in our times of worship. You are welcome to use the sanctuary front altar area during our praise and worship time. Let’s worship God with the best of our energy. Let’s determine to seek God and an increased awareness of his presence. Here is Sunday’s song list:

Monday – pray for the people we see daily at school, work, and in our neighborhoods.
Tuesday – pray for God’s will and Kingdom in Hampden.
Wednesday – pray for spiritual growth in our Wednesday gathering.
Thursday – pray for God’s will and Kingdom in Waverly.
Friday – pray for miracles of salvation and healing.
Saturday – pray for God’s will and Kingdom in our Sunday gathering.
Sunday – pray for a growing sense of spiritual rest in us.
