Masking Survey
Our Safe Place Team would like to review our masking policies and suggestions for Sundays, City Kids, and Life Groups. We would appreciate your input. We would like to hear from every adult in the church, so please fill out the survey individually by clicking on this link. Thank you!
After Church Fellowship
Let’s hangout a little! This coming Sunday morning, after service, it should be about 60 degrees outside with only a 4 percent chance of rain. Pastors Ben and Rebecca think it would be wonderful for all of us to hangout near the playground across the street from church, this coming Sunday morning after the service. A good number of the parents are already doing this. There will be a small table set up with drinking water, hand sanitizer, napkins, plastic cups, plasticware, etc to help anyone who wants to bring their own food/drinks. In this way, we could facilitate a little more of the wonderfully positive social time that has been happening after service. It is wheelchair accessible. We still have access to our church bathrooms on Sundays.

The City Kids ministry needs more volunteers! If you are interested in joining the City Kids Volunteer Team please contact Anna Talaiver. She will be hosting a City Kids training in the next few weeks.
Food Pantry and Church Welcome Area
Hampden UMC is the host site for a food pantry effort between several area churches. For a variety of reasons, they will no longer be taking in food from one source that required the locked doors and extra reporting. This will make it possible to open up more of a “welcome area” in that space. To supplement the previous food source they would welcome the donation of dry goods and nonperishable food such as pasta, rice, and canned foods. Such items can be brought in on a Sunday. After our service, please be careful to place the items on a table in that area in a way that’s easy for organization.
Daily Bible Reading
Every day this year, Pastor Ben is sharing a daily suggested reading of a few verses from a Psalm or Proverb. The Psalms are a collection of songs exalting God. It serves as a book of prayer and praise. The Psalms help us in our relationship with God. The Proverbs help us in our relationship with this world, in our daily life. The daily readings can be found here or received as a daily email. Click here to subscribe to receive the daily posts via email.
Pastor’s Weekly
An attitude of gratitude brings benefit from God. Choosing to thank God, to speak of God’s goodness regardless of our circumstance…that is a relationship choice that God will respond favorably to. Thanking our Creator God is a reasonable response. Our God brings mercy and justice. A day will come when all of humanity will recognize the sovereignty of God. Let us respond to God with worship.
