Sharing Life Together
Pastor’s Weekly
As you consider plans for 2026, you may be thinking about spiritual growth and new ideas for your devotional life. Last week I recommended the “Connecting Scripture” CSB version of the New Testament, which includes study notes and tools. It can be found, at a deep discount, on Amazon and ChristianBook.com etc. Whether you use the free Bible app or hard copies of Scripture it is helpful to read it in various versions. How do we choose what version too read? The chart, linked below, lists many versions in categories that identify the strategies used when they were translated from the original languages. When studying the Bible it is best to use both a “word for word” and a “thought for thought” translation. Thankfully most of these versions can be downloaded for free, in the Bible app.

Church Renovation Updates
Renovations: Please be careful to avoid the main floor renovation work areas. Parents please make sure to keep children out of the area. There are tools and debris that could be dangerous. Floor renovations should be completed by 12/24.
This Week
CHC Youth Christmas Party – Tonight, December 17th

CHC Youth’s Christmas party will be next Wednesday, December 17th, at Malinda Brady’s house from 5:30-8:30 PM. Youth may wear their favorite pajamas, slippers, and/or other festive attire if they would like. They will have tacos/nachos for dinner and an edible tree decorating contest.
No Wednesday Life Groups this Week
The staining and sealing of the old pantry area floors is now rescheduled to this next week instead of the week of Christmas. It’s going to be beautiful when it’s completed! This means there is a high probability of strong fumes in the building this Wednesday night. Our CHC Christmas Party has been rescheduled to this Sunday, December 21st, after service.
Sunday Church Service
We are looking forward to our Sunday church service this Sunday, December 21st, at 9:00 am. You can listen to the recordings of previous messages here. Here is Sunday’s song list:
Hark The Herald Angels Sing / King Of Heaven by Paul Baloche, Charles Wesley, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, and Jason Ingram
All is Well by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Michael W. Smith

“My job is to take care of the possible and to trust God with the impossible.” – Ruth Graham. Last Sunday we heard an annual report on our Courageous Generosity support. Ten percent of our donations to City Harbor Church go directly to supporting missionaries in remote areas, medical missions in Guatemala, and similar efforts in Haiti as well as here in Baltimore. Two of our strategic partners also offer gift ideas to show further support:

The Pour Over
Pastor Ben: A few Sundays ago, I mentioned this service that has been helpful to me, in keeping up with the news. The free account has been better than several paid services I’ve used. For local news I use a digital subscription to The Baltimore Banner and for the USA, The Pour Over: https://www.web.thepourover.
