Sharing Life Together

Pastor’s Weekly

Thank you for your birthday greetings. This past Rebecca and I have been particularly grateful for each of you. Please send us your prayer requests. We pray for each of you, at least weekly. When you have answers to prayer, please share them. We enjoy hearing about what God is doing among us.

Sharing Jesus

“Above all, put on love,” – Colossians 3:14
“Love says: I’ve seen the ugly parts of you, and I’m staying.” – Matt Chandler
“Love God,” with the best of your energy and “love your neighbor as yourself….go (urge others to also follow) make disciples, baptizing, teaching,” – Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18-20
“Disciple making is not a call for others to come to us to hear the gospel but a command for us to go to others to share the gospel.” – David Platt
The more effective we are in sharing faith in Jesus as Savior person to person the more we will also be in sharing this from one generation to the next.

This Week

Jesus Night – Wednesday, April 22nd

The Fellowship Hall is open at 6:00 pm for Church Family Dinner and/or to hang out. Jesus Night starts at 7:00 pm. If we want more people to interact with Jesus Christ we should be involved. Please pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify who you should share Jesus with. Think about it and jot down some ideas. Pray about it more. Our monthly “Jesus Nights” give an opportunity to invite people who would be interested in hearing you share your Jesus-story. Our other upcoming Jesus Night is May 27.

We are looking forward to our Sunday church service this Sunday, April 26th at 9:00 am. You can listen to the recordings of previous messages here. Below is Sunday’s song list. Please listen to these songs during the week. What we sing matters. God interacts with us in our times of worship. You are welcome use the sanctuary front altar area during our praise and worship time. Let’s worship God with the best of our energy. Let’s determine to seek God and an increased awareness of his presence.

Good to Know

April Bible Study

“It was for freedom that Christ set us free,” What is Galatians 5:1 communicating with us?  Jesus Christ saved us with freedom as an essential ingredient of His purpose. This month we turn from Colossians to Galatians. This is a small and yet powerful section of Scripture. It brings profound spiritual joy. Let’s study it together. To that end, let’s learn more about how to study a specific word in its original Biblical language – using “freedom” from Galatians as our focus for April 8 & 15. See “freedom” in Galatians 5:1  G1657 – eleutheria – Strong’s Greek Lexicon (ESV)  Here’s Justin’s “freedom” word study that we may want to work on collaboratively.
