Good to Know
Celebrate Recovery
What is Celebrate Recovery? A Christ centered program that gives people the resources and relationships to help recover from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups. It is a time designed to help you find healing and learn to live in freedom. Whether you are struggling with addictions, anxiety, depression, codependency, or an unhealthy relationship, you can find help here. For more information, contact Bryan Beach or Holly Turlington.
City Kids Ministry
City Kids has been an integral ministry of our church since its beginning. When Pastors Ben and Rebecca were laying the groundwork for our church, they envisioned a children’s ministry that prioritized Biblical teaching and helped our youngest members connect with Jesus on a personal level. Over the years as our children’s ministry has grown exponentially, that vision remains the same: a safe place for children to learn, grow, and play. Currently City Kids meets on the 1st Sunday of every month and the class is for children age 4 through 4th grade. If you would like more information about City Kids, please contact Anna Talaiver.
Pastor’s Weekly
In 2 Corinthians chapter 13, Paul closes his letter to the Corinthian believers with a passionate appeal to a life devoted to Jesus. Directly informed by his own personal relationship with Jesus, Paul encourages each person to examine their own relationship with Jesus. For many, their faith in Jesus had its early formation shaped by Paul’s service of teaching. Over time they have allowed this influence to become frayed. Paul calls them to grow in taking the next steps of following Jesus. This includes their growing love, joyful encouragement, relationships, and enjoying God’s presence. Paul prepares the Corinthian church for his upcoming 3rd visit. He wants to help them mature and grow stronger. Paul asks that they examine their own hearts, adhering to the words of Jesus and receiving help by recognizing spiritual authority. Encouraging each other, they can grow and experience joy. “Then the God of love and peace will be with you.”
