Christmas Holiday Service Schedule
December 30th Service & Meal
Let’s get together for a special year’s end time of prayer, worship, and encouragement on Friday, December 30th, at noon. We will not have a Sunday service on December 25th or small groups that week. We are already looking forward to joining you at the first church potluck we’ve had in a long time! We will start in the sanctuary and then move to the Fellowship Hall. There will be a sign-up sheet available this Sunday so we have an idea of what you are planning on bringing. If you bring enough for you, your family and a few more we should have plenty of food.
New Year’s Day Service
What a special opportunity to gather together as a church family on the first day of the new year and take time to be with God, each other and share in communion! The service will begin at 9am as usual.
This Week
Life Group Tomorrow
This week, Life Group will be held on Thursday night at 6:30pm, at the Weybrights’ home. We will be discussing Chapter 2 of The Gospel Comes with a House Key. If you need help with acquiring a book, please contact Pastor Rebecca who has a few extra copies. Hope to see you there!
Sunday Church Service
We are looking forward to our Sunday church service this Sunday, December 18th, at 9am! Please consider sharing an “impossible” prayer request for us to pray over in service. Also, if you have seen God do a miracle in response to this kind of prayer please consider sharing that in service. If you missed last week’s message, you can watch it here on CHC’s Facebook page or listen to the recording here.

Helping Families New to Baltimore
After consideration from our elders and leaders, we have decided to partner with an organization of churches to support Afghan families who are newly arrived in Baltimore. In addition to making a financial contribution, our church would also like to help assist these families in additional ways. If you are interested in donating furniture please contact Aaron Mayhew at info@loveaaco.org or (443) 848-3417.
Pastor’s Weekly
It can be easier to see the faults in others than to see what needs repairing in ourselves. Some will allow pain from the past to turn to bitterness and anger. Some will convince themselves of their own superiority. Some will become violent. Such brokenness in our world keeps a cycle of pain moving on. Learning about such issues will help us see how God would have us bring His healing and peace. When a person is self-focused (in an unhealthy way) they will be pre-determined that they are in the right. When they disregard God’s guidance for living, in favor of their own desires, it is a danger to themselves and others. We should seek out God’s way. What does God say about right and wrong? What does God say a healthy life looks like?
