Sharing Life Together

Women’s Christmas Party
Saturday, December 16th at 10:00 am, the CHC Women’s Christmas Party will be held at the Weybrights’ home. Please reach out to Leah to RSVP and to receive more details.
The holiday season can be a time of too much of a good thing. We want to enjoy life, avoid harmful distraction, and experience the joy found in a personal relationship with Jesus. This Advent season we are taking a closer look at the arrival of King Jesus. Each Sunday we are going to close with several minutes of all-church-prayer. Please participate. Please come ready to share any answers to prayer that you are seeing. Each week you will find notes, Scriptures to study, and prayer topics at www.CityHarborChurch.com/
In-Person Life Group Meets Tomorrow Night
The in-person Life Group is meeting this Thursday night at 6:30 pm, at the Weybrights’ home. Our scripture focus for this week is Mark 4:1-34. We’re looking forward to meeting together!
This coming Saturday at 10:00 am you are invited to join the Hampden UMC team in the decorating of the sanctuary for the Advent season.
Worship Workshop This Saturday
This Saturday from 4:00-6:00 pm, we will have a worship workshop at the church facility. Please message Chris if you are going to attend. We welcome singers and musicians.
Sunday Church Service
We are looking forward to our weekly church service this Sunday, December 3rd, at 9:00 am. If you missed last week’s message, you can watch it here on CHC’s Facebook page or listen to the recording here.
Mayor’s Christmas Parade, Dec 3rd
The Vazquez crew would like to invite you to come watch the 50th Annual Mayor’s Christmas Parade with us on December 3, at 1:00 pm! They live right off of Falls Road (near the beginning of the parade route). They’ll offer chili, cornbread, fixings, and hot cider to keep you warm as you watch the parade as well as facilities for bathroom breaks. Please consider bringing your own chairs. Parking is usually tight, so make sure to arrive early and come around the back way (via Evans Chapel Rd). Please RSVP to Chris or Abby so they know how much food to prepare and consider bringing a side, dessert, or snack to share!

Good to Know
Have you joined a Life Group yet? This has been a wonderful way for us to follow Jesus together, building relationships, caring for and praying for each other. We are looking forward to continuing these encouraging activities and Bible study discussions.
We have two Zoom meetings and two in-person meetings each month. The Zoom group meets on Wednesdays (every other week) and the in-person group meets on Thursdays (every other week). If those nights don’t work for you, please let us know. We are open to starting another group to ensure that everyone can receive the benefit of Life Groups.
Church Facility Work Days
Church Facility Work Days will be held on the first Saturdays of the month, from 8:00 – 9:30 am. We will mostly be doing cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping), but we’ll also do some outdoor work (weather permitting), such as pulling weeds on the front sidewalk, etc. Please bring work gloves if you have them.
Please consider making a donation to our “Give” fund, to go towards the following work: Jonathan and Kristi Biggers – Assistive Technology Catalyst Project.
Jonathan has been a pastor and an Assistive Technology Professional for more than 15 years. Kristi has been a RN nurse for more than 10 years. They are moving to Guatemala to join Assistive Technology’s Catalyst Project bringing wheelchairs and professional educational, customizing, and medical services to people in need. They will serve by going out to villages and bringing customized chairs to those in need. They will train others to multiply this work. They will provide medical training. They and AT Catalyst work in partnership with hospitals, clinics, and other community programs. Catalyst works in various countries.
