Helping Families New to Baltimore
After consideration from our elders and leaders, we have decided to partner with an organization of churches to support Afghan families who are newly arrived in Baltimore. In addition to making a financial contribution, our church would also like to help assist these families in additional ways. If you are interested in donating furniture please contact Aaron Mayhew at firstname.lastname@example.org or (443) 848-3417.
This past week I had some time in prayer that caused me to be aware of God’s presence in a tangible way. More aware of God than my physical surroundings. It is powerful! I believe that the Holy Spirit is at work in a fresh way. Rebecca and I have experienced “a surprising work of God” in years past that has been similar to what we are seeing at Asbury College now. Our sovereign God is alive, aware, able, active, and already at work in us and through us. God is speaking to us. Rebecca and I are truly excited about this week and the days to come. Let us give time every day to be more focused on God than anything else. Please read Ephesians 3:20 as an encouragement along these lines.
