Life Group Book Discussion
We are excited to start reading and discussing the book The Gospel Comes with a House Key by Rosaria Butterfield in Life Groups starting in late November/December. This is an engaging book about Gospel and neighborhood-centered hospitality. If you need help with acquiring a book, please contact Pastor Rebecca who has a few extra copies.
Serving Opportunity
We will host a small gathering of newly arrived families from Sudan and Iraq on Sunday, November 20th. This event will serve as a way to help these families forge connections with each other and with other people from churches like ours. We have an opportunity to serve and are invited to share the meal with them, to help welcome our new neighbors. If you are interested in attending please RSVP HERE. We anticipate between 50-60 people being in attendance. Please click here to see a list of volunteer roles and needed supplies for the event.

Sunday Church Service
We are looking forward to our Sunday church service this Sunday, November 13th, at 9am! This Sunday, please consider sharing an “impossible” prayer request for us to pray over in service. Also, if you have seen God do a miracle in response to this kind of prayer please consider sharing that in service. If you missed last week’s message, you can watch it here on CHC’s Facebook page or listen to the recording here.

Helping Families New to Baltimore
After consideration from our elders and leaders, we have decided to partner with an organization of churches to support Afghan families who are newly arrived in Baltimore. In addition to making a financial contribution, our church would also like to help assist these families in additional ways. If you are interested in donating furniture please contact Aaron Mayhew at info@loveaaco.org or (443) 848-3417.
Pastor’s Weekly
Wrapping up Psalm 119 — an amazing poem about the value of God’s Word — the author calls out to God. With wholehearted devotion, he asks God for help. In life, I can wander from my relationship with God and become aimless. May God help me return to Him. Let my mouth express appreciation for our Creator, my Good Shepherd, and His faithful guidance. I will not allow myself to forget the Word of God. It brings life to me. I will value it more than anything else. Psalm 119 is a helpful encouragement of this relationship.
