Fall Festival October 30th
On Wednesday, October 30th, from 6:00-8:00 pm, there will be a Fall Festival at the church facility! We will have carnival games, crafts, food, and much more! The whole church is invited and guests are welcome! Please let Anna Talaiver know if you are able to help with set up, with running the carnival games, and/or with tear down. We also need volunteers who can make and bring their favorite chili recipe to share.
Sharing Life Together
Pastor’s Weekly
Rebecca and I have been so encouraged by each of you. We have enjoyed the various connections, social activities, Wednesdays, and Sundays. It’s wonderful to hear the genuine excitement and joy in our gatherings. This coming October 4-11, Rebecca and I will be in Portland for the annual Minister’s Fellowship International conference. This is a time when we meet with our elders, advisors, mentors, families, and friends. We are always refreshed by the times in prayer, worship, teaching, workshops, and fellowship. This coming Sunday the Mannahouse Church eldership will be setting in a new Senior Pastor (one of my Portland Bible College classmates Derrill Corbin). Derrill will be only the 4th pastor that Mannahouse has had since 1953. We’re grateful for 71 years of church life with faithful integrity and without the need to remove a pastor. We look forward to seeing ministers from China, much of Asia, Europe, Africa, and South Africa. There will be a regional conference in Richmond Virginia, in March 2025, and another annual international conference in Portland Oregon, in October 2025. Please let me know if you want to attend either of those. We are praying for the peace of the Kingdom of God and the Good News of Jesus to be seen in increasing ways, around the world. Please be in prayer weekly on these topics. In the near future, we will be discussing God’s perspective on current events. Please feel free to send me questions that you are considering. This Week
Life Groups & CHC Youth Night Tonight
Life Groups and CHC Youth are meeting tonight at 7:00 pm at the church facility. If you would like to hang out before worship begins at 7:00 pm, you can arrive as early as 6:00 pm. You are welcome to bring your dinner with you or just yourself so you can fellowship with others. We will have some plates, utensils and napkins available if you need them.
