What’s New?
New Summer Life Group Schedule
Pastors Ben and Rebecca have been so very happy to see the strength and joy in our relationships. Life Groups help us build encouraging relationships. It’s a wonderful way for us to take next steps in following Jesus together! We have heard from you about summer plans. For some of us the season of travel starts early in June. As such, we wanted to go with a modified Life Group summer schedule that starts right away – this week!
1st Saturday of the Month Worship Practice
Saturday, June 4th, is the first Saturday of the month! That means that we’ll be hosting an open time at the church building from 4:00-6:00pm for worship practice. If you’ve been interested in singing, playing an instrument, sound, or trying out new songs, feel free to join us! If you have any questions, email Chris at vazquezcw@gmail.com.

You are invited to a prayer service on Wednesday, June 8th, at 11am on Zoom and in-person at St. Mo’s Church, 400 E 31st Street, Baltimore MD (enter through the side door on Barclay St.) Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/

This Week
Thursday Night Life Group
This week, Life Group will be held Thursday night at 7pm at the Weybrights’ home.
Special Outdoor Service This Sunday
This Sunday June 5th, is Pentecost Sunday and we will join several churches that we are friends with, by coming together for a special service outdoors starting at 10am, at 29 S. Front Street Baltimore MD 21202 (please see details below before driving there). This will be in place of our Sunday service. There will be no activity available at our building that Sunday morning, June 5th. Please let us know by Saturday, June 4th, if you would like a ride there.
Gallery Church facilities, restrooms, water supply etc will be open and available for all participants. It will be a wonderful outdoor worship service with multiple people participating in leading, including several languages, and a message. There is no children’s ministry separate from the large group. It’s a family service. Kids will have access with parents to worship resources.
Please allow extra time for parking as there will be a good number of people attending. The outdoor courtyard is right next to the building. There is street parking right next to the courtyard. It can be confusing the first time you drive to this spot. The map and further info can be found here. Please look at it before you start driving Sunday morning, June 5th. https://

Good to Know
Food Pantry and Church Welcome Area
Hampden UMC is the host site for a food pantry effort between several area churches. For a variety of reasons, they will no longer be taking in food from one source that required the locked doors and extra reporting. This will make it possible to open up more of a “welcome area” in that space. To supplement the previous food source they would welcome the donation of dry goods and nonperishable food such as pasta, rice, and canned foods. Such items can be brought in on a Sunday. After our service, please be careful to place the items on a table in that area in a way that’s easy for organization.
Daily Bible Reading
Every day this year, Pastor Ben is sharing a daily suggested reading of a few verses from a Psalm or Proverb. The Psalms are a collection of songs exalting God. It serves as a book of prayer and praise. The Psalms help us in our relationship with God. The Proverbs help us in our relationship with this world, in our daily life. The daily readings can be found here or received as a daily email. Click here to subscribe to receive the daily posts via email.
Pastor’s Weekly
In Psalm 68:7-14, we see that our God sends refreshing. The Israelites remembered the specific ways in which they had seen God do this in years past. They had been led by God through dangerous places. Their relationship with God was an essential element of their identity. As it should be for us.
