FIRST January 4th – 24th

Starting the new year more focused on God than anything else, for 3 weeks. Let’s fast in a variety of ways and pray more than usual. Our January focus will be on the Biblical view of the family of God.

Pastor’s Weekly

God initiated the design of seasons and seasonal changes. In agriculture, we observe that each season accomplishes something that sets up the next season. God’s design for us provides love, passion, purpose, pleasure, and opportunities for persistence and growth. This week we mark the change from one season to the next. We seek God’s resolution of the past, leading in the present, purpose for the future and presence with us in all three. Please give time and energy to thoughtful prayer, interacting with God.

Church Renovation Updates

Renovations: Please be careful to avoid the main floor renovation work areas. Parents please make sure to keep children out of the area. There are tools and debris that could be dangerous. Floor renovations should be completed by 12/24.

This Week

New Year’s Eve Gathering – Tonight, Wednesday, December 31st

We will be meeting tonight, Wednesday, December 31st, at 5:00 pm, for a time of prayer, worship, and encouragement. This will be followed by a Family Meal at 6:00 pm; please bring your own dinner (and extra to share if you would like), as well as dessert to share.

Prayer Topics

May there be an end to the fires in Hampden.

May God help the families, Pathway Church and Falkenhan Hardware as they are recovering from fires.

May God bring a miraculous peace to the violence in Haiti.

May God bring our civic leaders and government into alignment with His will, values/priorities, ethics, and purpose.

May God do miracles of protection and provision for any innocent person who has been detained/deported by our government.

May God cause our civil leaders to bring about a swift, honest, merciful reform to our immigration system.

Plenty of people share negativity on the subject of Christian musical expression without having heard what we listen to. The Gospel Coalition has posted a “Best Music of 2025” playlist, including their honorable mentions, which is diverse and may be beneficial to you (TheGospelCoalition.org).
