Pastor’s Weekly
In Galatians chapter 5, Pastor Paul taught us to let the Holy Spirit guide our lives. In chapter 6, he contrasts this with the results of allowing our sinful cravings to guide our lives. He also calls local church believers to “gently and humbly” help a person who has drifted into consistently making such mistakes, guiding them back onto the right path. Paul teaches believers to find freedom in Jesus. This is connected to clear instruction to avoid comparison and maintain focus on our own personal integrity. Living to please one’s self first will bring decay. Living to please the Holy Spirit will be life-giving. It’s a critical issue. We should respond to this with deep reflection, prayer, Bible reading, and asking God to show us the state of our heart. Don’t give up. Each day is new with Jesus.
