This Week
Life Group Tomorrow Night
This week, Life Group will be held on Thursday night at 6:30pm, at the Weybrights’ home. Hope to see you there!
Sunday Church Service
We are looking forward to our Sunday church service this Sunday, November 20th, at 9am! This Sunday we will take communion together during service. Please consider sharing an “impossible” prayer request for us to pray over in service. Also, if you have seen God do a miracle in response to this kind of prayer please consider sharing that in service. If you missed last week’s message, you can watch it here on CHC’s Facebook page or listen to the recording here.
Serving Opportunity
We will host a small gathering of newly arrived families from Sudan and Iraq on Sunday, November 20th. This event is part of our church’s ongoing partnership with Love AACO. You can learn more about the coalition of churches and organizations from their website here. This gathering will serve as a way to help these families forge connections with each other and with other people from churches like ours. We have an opportunity to serve and are invited to share the meal with them, to help welcome our new neighbors. If you are interested in attending please RSVP HERE. We anticipate between 50-60 people being in attendance. Please click here to see a list of volunteer roles and needed supplies for the event.

Good to Know
Life Group Book Discussion
We are excited to start reading and discussing the book The Gospel Comes with a House Key by Rosaria Butterfield in Life Groups starting in late November/December. This is an engaging book about Gospel and neighborhood-centered hospitality. If you need help with acquiring a book, please contact Pastor Rebecca who has a few extra copies.
Bible College Classes
Portland Bible College classes are available online. You can take classes for credit or simply for the sake of learning (independent study). You will see that the Basic Doctrine class Pastor Ben mentioned on Sunday is listed here among the beginning classes.
Helping Families New to Baltimore
After consideration from our elders and leaders, we have decided to partner with an organization of churches to support Afghan families who are newly arrived in Baltimore. In addition to making a financial contribution, our church would also like to help assist these families in additional ways. If you are interested in donating furniture please contact Aaron Mayhew at info@loveaaco.org or (443) 848-3417.
Pastor’s Weekly
When the Israelites returned to Jerusalem they would be reminded of the protection of God, standing faithfully like the mountains that repelled would-be attackers (Psalm 125). When we rely on God, He will not fail us and we can walk in peace. Let us spend time each day to bring our hearts in tune with God. The One True Living God is trustworthy. The Kingdom of God is above all others. It will last forever. As we trust in God, we can be confident in our hope of God’s victory and peace.
