Back to School Sunday
Our Back to School Sunday service will be held on Sunday, August 24th. This will be a meaningful time of prayer and encouragement as we prepare for the new school year. Together, we will pray for students, teachers, school staff, Baltimore City and County school districts, as well as college students and professors.
Sharing Life Together
Volunteers Needed – Painting & Projects
We’re almost done giving the main City Kids Classroom a fresh new look — and we could use a few extra hands to finish strong! Here’s what we need:
-
Tall ladder pros to paint the top trim
-
Volunteers to paint the pillars
-
Helpers to reorganize the supply closet
-
A few extra hands for other small tasks
If you’re able to help, please contact Pastor Rebecca or Anna Talaiver. Thank you for helping us make City Kids a warm, welcoming space for our children!
Pastor’s Weekly
In Matthew 13:44-46, Jesus again teaches, “The kingdom of heaven is like…” the treasure and the pearl. We hear that it is most valuable and that it triggers a happy response. In Matthew 5:3-10, Jesus teaches we can receive the kingdom. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus teaches that we should pursue the kingdom. What does this mean to you personally? It may be helpful to reflect on this and talk with God about it, in your prayer time.

Good to Know
Summer Heat – Update
The new standing AC unit has been doing a good job keeping the sanctuary cooler, so we’re planning to continue meeting in the sanctuary for our Sunday church services. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the temperature. Please check church signage and our social media for any updates in case we need to move downstairs to the Fellowship Hall.
To help keep the sanctuary cool, please use the doors at the top of the ramp rather than the main doors by the stairs. Thank you for your help!
