Forgiveness and Faith

Luke 5:17-26

“Your sins are forgiven.”

“Is it easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’?”

 – Luke 5:20, 23  Mark 2:5, 9

What is the greater miracle? Forgiveness and Faith Facing that which is beyond your control, Jesus is the answer. Let’s receive forgiveness and grow in faith.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous, He did this through Jesus Christ when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.” – Romans 3:23-25

“If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” – 1 John 1:9 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” – John 3:16-17There’s a limit to how much the things of this world can stress me out because my life is becoming Jesus-centered. My identity, self-worth, self-view, and values are becoming more focused on Jesus than anything else.

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” – Hebrews 11:1

“Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” – Hebrews 12:1-2

What should we do?

Look to Jesus as Savior.

Bless the Lord at all times.

Thank God for your salvation.

Adjust perspective. Pray with faith for miracles.
