Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. – Ephesians 6:10-18
Be strong – able to do something with the help of God that you would not be able to do otherwise
Paul stuck in circumstances beyond his control in prison. Ephesians who had suffered their city being leveled many times by war and earthquakes.
Put on – “gear up” action word, where we daily make a choice to lift up and carry these things
Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
Stand – make a stand in the place where God has put you
We have opportunities to choose how we are going to live.
