“Your Father can see what is done in secret, and He will reward you.” – Matthew 6:4 NCV
Read Matthew 6: NCV -> listen for Jesus’ teaching about what God is like.
Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6 references Gods perfect knowledge and how we should interact with it.
Father God sees all and will respond.
Father God provides based on His perfect knowledge.
Who loves you? God, who is ___. God, who is perfect. God, who is perfect in ___.
God is perfect in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
Let’s look at what we learn from Scripture about this.
God sees everything. Proverbs 15:3 Jeremiah 23:23-35
All things are open for God to see. Hebrews 4:12-13 1 John 3:20
God’s understanding is infinite. Psalms 147:5 Isaiah 29:15-16
God knows the hearts of all. Proverbs 15:11 1 John 3:20 Genesis 18:18-19
God knows my thoughts. Psalms 139:1-6 1 Corinthians 3:20
God knows my heart. Jeremiah 17:5-10
God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
God knows Himself in His eternal distinctions as Father, Son, Holy Spirit Matthew 11:27 1 Corinthians 2:11
Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world Acts 15:18 Romans 11:33
God knows beforehand what all will do. On this basis of foreknowledge that God by His Spirit, foretold events through the mouth of the prophets concerning the life of the Messiah Micah 5:2 Revelation 13:8 Acts 2:23; 3:18 2 Timothy 2:19
God also knows the histories and destinies of all nations and individuals on the basis of this He foretold the same Matthew 10:29 Psalms 33:13-15 Matthew 6:8, 32; 11:21-24 Isaiah 46:9-10 Daniel 2 Daniel 7 Matthew 24 25 Acts 15:18 Deuteronomy 31:20-21 Isaiah 44:26; 45:7 Proverbs 15:3
Foreknowledge Romans 8:29-30 Acts 2:23 1 Peter 1:2
Foreseeing Galatians 3:8 Acts 2:31, 24
Foretelling prophecy Acts 3:18-24
Foreordained 1 Peter 1:19-20 1 Corinthians 2:7 1 Peter 1:10-12 2 Timothy 1:9 Jeremiah 1:4-5
Omniscience means that God is all-knowing. He knows all things at all times. He knows all things within Himself, in the universe and in all creatures. Whether things be past, present, or future. God knows them all perfectly. There is nothing that He does not know and has not known from eternity. 1 Samuel 2:3 God’s knowledge is absolute and unacquired. He never has to learn anything. Humans can never tell God anything about Himself that God did not already know. This is omniscience.
Omniscience also involves perfect knowledge, perfect understanding and perfect wisdom. Perfect knowledge is the accurate possession of all facts. Perfect understanding is the full perception and interpretation of the facts. Perfect wisdom is the proper application of the facts.
Impossible for God to err in judgment 1 Corinthians 1:24-30 Psalm 104:24 1 Timothy 1:17 Ephesians 3:10
It is because of God’s omniscience that He is qualified to be the judge of all humans at the Throne of judgment, according to Revelation 20:11-15. Omniscience makes God infallible. He is incapable of error or ommision. It is impossible for God to err in judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:24-30 Psalms 104:24 1 Timothy 1:17 Ephesians 3:10

God has the answers for today and tomorrow.
Nothing is too complicated for God.
Sometimes:
God reveals the answer at the moment.
God wants us to seek Him for the answer He’s already revealed.
God wants us to seek Him for the answer He’s going to reveal.
