In Ephesians 3:16-21 we discover that through God’s love we can be healthy. Paul prays that the Ephesian believers would be “made complete” by their receiving and responding to the love of God, expressed through Jesus.
What if you are saying, “I am affected by insecurity or anxiety in ways beyond my control.”?
You are a spiritual being created by design. When we approach our spiritual health with a self-focus it will always become incomplete. Only in a God-focused approach to spiritual healthy can we be “made complete”.
What to do: Receive the love of God and respond to it by repentance and faith. Let the way you view yourself and your world be changed by this reality.
Let’s take the truth about Jesus’ incarnation and apply it.
Jesus walked the earth, completely human, no longer in His heavenly home. Jesus loved His friends and family. It seems He was a good listener. Jesus heard about their anxiety and fear. He wept when they suffered and died. He was ignored at times, the subject of gossip, falsely accused, and betrayed by close friends. Jesus felt pain.
Jesus is now praying for us, talking with Father God about our situation, and sending the Holy Spirit to help us. When we cry out to God about what we are thinking & feeling, Jesus understands. God feels our pain.
It’s reasonable to believe that God understands what we’re going through and wants to help us expel fear, anxiety, and insecurity.
Somewhere beneath our surface feelings we are allowing ourselves to believe that God won’t take care of the things we care about most.
This means that we search out our thoughts & feelings to discover where they are aligned with truth.
