Proverbs 21:17-26
God gave Solomon the gift of wisdom. That’s noteworthy! Here we have a few proverbs about how we use money. Unhealthy use of money is seen in prioritizing pleasure now over having savings for a rainy day. Learning how to make decisions based on good stewardship, that’s smart. What are your priorities? Do you have money set aside for them? Making value-based decisions will help you structure a budget that brings freedom for fun. Generosity is a characteristic of someone who loves God. When we enjoy the ability to give life is really good.
2 Corinthians 5:1-10
When Christ returns to earth, His followers will receive glorified bodies, not born of broken human DNA (affected by sin) but created by God. No more pain, disease, or suffering. Leaving our current bodies, we will be living with God. Here and now, we should live in light of this truth. Spend time thinking about it today. How does that impact the way you feel, what you think, and the decisions you make?
Micah 5; 6; 7
God shows Micah that he has seen both the people choosing to reject Him and the people choosing to remain faithful to Him. Seeking restoration, God recounts the history of the relationship with them. God is asking that they love mercy, walk humbly, and do what is right. Hope for restoration, for miracles, and the faithful love of God is what is being spoken of for their future. Our God wants us to choose the love found in a healthy relationship with Him.
