We know that:
God never changes
The names of God describe who He is bringing faith and hope
The Bible shows that God regularly interacts with people and does miracles to show people who He is.
The Holy Spirit has given us hope and faith for miracles!
We’ve experienced many miracles ourselves.
What does this mean?
1. We need to be in close contact with Jesus.
2. We need to trust and obey.
3. You will be stretched and uncomfortable.
4. Sometimes God will do amazing miracles!
5. It does mean that God does daily miracles.
What should we do?
1. Love God with everything.
2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Mark 12:30-31 – “One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, ‘Of all the commandments, which is the most important?’
3.No worry.
Luke 12:29-31 – Jesus replied, “And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and he will give you everything you need.”
Jesus replied, ‘The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.’”
4. Contentment
Philippians 4:11-13 – “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.”
5. Ability to trust and obey
6. Joy
Proverbs 10:28 – “The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.”
Romans 15:13 – “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
7. Supernatural peace
Philippians 4:6-8 – “… experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.”
As we mature in our relationship
with Jesus we realize:
Anything good in us is because of Jesus
Jesus is truly Emmanuel, “God with us”
Miracles in the Bible and in our lives remind us of who God is, what He is like and how much he loves us.
Sharing miracle stories from the Bible and of our personal miracles remind us of God’s faithfulness to us and helps others expand their understanding of who God is and reveal Jesus.
