Jesus Night – March 25th

If we want more people to interact with Jesus Christ we should be involved. Please pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify who you should share Jesus with. Think about it and jot down some ideas. Pray about it more. Our monthly “Jesus Nights” give an opportunity to invite people who would be interested in hearing you share your Jesus-story. Our upcoming Jesus Nights: March 25th, April 22, May 27.

Easter Sunday – April 5th

We have an exciting Easter Sunday program this year that is perfect for inviting friends and neighbors! Our Easter church service will begin at 9:00 am, followed by an Easter lunch family meal in the Fellowship Hall. After lunch, there will be an Easter egg hunt for the kids as well as crafts and games. Invite tickets will be available on Sunday.

Pentecost Sunday – May 24th

This year at least 10 churches will be gathering for Pentecost Sunday. Childcare will be provided! We’re looking for singers to join the Pentecost Sunday choir.

Pastor’s Weekly

God loves you. God is passionate about his purpose for you. We are learning from Colossians about the sufficiently and supremacy of Jesus Christ. We should be focused on Him! Our spiritual life is only in relationship to Jesus Christ. The letter to the Colossians shows us the importance of this journey within local church relationships. Please come to each of our gatherings ready to ask your questions and share your thoughts.

Sharing Jesus

Are you ready to share the most valuable thing in your life with your neighbors, coworkers, and friends? Parents, your children have classmates whose families need to know what you care about most. Jesus Christ our Savior King is the most valuable relationship we have. Studies show that on certain dates people are more inclined to investigate Christianity. Please pray about this! Please invited people to hear Jesus stories and/or to one of our services.

This Week

Bible Study Workshop Tonight

The Fellowship Hall is open at 6:00 pm for Church Family Dinner and/or to hang out before small groups and CHC Youth start at 7:00 pm. If we all work together to clean up after dinner at 6:50 pm, there may be no need for it after our gathering.

On March 18th, let’s study Colossians 3:10-14 together.

CHC Youth Night Tonight

CHC Youth meet every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm at the church for a time of fellowship, worship, and Bible study.

Prayer Topics

Write a list of people that you know who are not yet Jesus followers. Pray over the list Monday through Friday (you can divide a large list over the 5 days so that you are praying for different names each day). On Saturday, pray asking God to show you how you can share your testimony of salvation with them.

“Life in Christ” Relevant to Colossians 1:4 “The word pistis means ‘faith’, but also ‘reliability’, ‘loyalty’ and so on. For Paul, it seems to be all of the above, and more besides. This isn’t just a matter of intellectual assent to propositions or an emotional response to Jesus, though both of these are vital. It’s about loyalty, trustworthiness. Again, this is what the church is by definition, as well as what church members must no live up to.” “The word pistois, meaning ‘faithful’ or ‘loyal’ goes closely with ‘in the Messiah Jesus’. Christos in early Christianity carries the full weight of ‘the anointed one’, the Messiah. Part of the point there is that the Messiah, the true king, represents his people, so that what is true of him becomes true of them. So the phrase ‘believing loyally in Messiah Jesus’ isn’t just about the belief which affirms the truth of the gospel.
