Sharing Life Together
Pastor’s Weekly
Prayer and fasting can increase our sensitivity to God’s presence and leading. Please give time and energy to thoughtful prayer, interacting with God. Whether it be quiet time, listening, reflection, reading Scripture, singing worship, or praying…more time than usual with God will bring positive change to you. It’s time for wholehearted devotion, holding nothing back. Ask God to open our spiritual eyes to what He sees and wants us to see.
Pray God’s Kingdom come and will be done, in us, in our church, in our families, homes, neighborhoods, city, state. “When you pray, speak like God’s ambassador, not a beggar.” – Morris Cerullo
God is already at work in 2026. You do not yet know all that God wants to do. God is unlimited. You may find Ephesians 3:14-21 encouraging to your prayer and reflection. On January 9th, I posted further thoughts on our response to current events, from the teaching of Jesus, at BenMalmin.com

Save the Date
FIRST January 4th – 24th
Going without food for the sake of more prayer, seeking God, is fasting. You may choose to go without social media and/or various forms of entertainment. You may choose to go without food for a meal, for a day, or for a number of days. This spiritual discipline can help us remove clutter in our thoughts, emotions, or spirit. It may also increase our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Please consider more time in prayer, Bible reading/memorization, and worship. As part of our FIRST focus these next three weeks, we will be meeting on Wednesday nights to worship God and pray together.
Family Meal – Sunday, January 25th
We will be celebrating together with a Family Meal after our Sunday church service on January 25th. Please bring food to share if you are able. A sign-up form will be made available soon.
Jesus Night – Wednesday, January 28th
If we want more people to interact with Jesus Christ we should be involved. Please pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify who you should share Jesus with. Think about it and jot down some ideas. Pray about it more. Our monthly “Jesus Nights” give an opportunity to invite people who would be interested in hearing you share your Jesus-story.
Prayer Topics
- May the Holy Spirit increase our awareness of His presence and leading during this season of prayer and fasting.
- May people receive Jesus as their Savior King.
- May God help us know how to best share Jesus with others.
- May God guide each of us through this season of prayer and fasting.
- May God help each of us see what outreach and service He would have our church do this year and going forward.
- May God bring our government into alignment with righteous values and practices (both here and internationally).
- May there be no more violence. May there be an immediate end to any brutality etc, practiced by ICE or other agencies. May there be compassionate and respectful treatment of people, particularly those who are vulnerable.
- May God bring about a righteous and peaceful government in Iran. May God cause prisoners to be released and the Jesus Movement to be advanced.
- May God’s will be done in Venezuela, bringing peace, provision, and protection for the people. We’re thankful for pastors and Christians who have been released from prison.
- May the Kingdom of God be extended in Venezuela and Colombia in miraculous ways this year.
- May God cause our civil leaders to bring about a swift, honest, merciful reform to our immigration system.

Christian Music Playlist
Plenty of people share negativity on the subject of Christian musical expression without having heard what we listen to. The Gospel Coalition has posted a “Best Music of 2025” playlist, including their honorable mentions, which is diverse and may be beneficial to you (TheGospelCoalition.org). Try this playlist as well.
